Kenya Ashura is a popular Japanese anime adapted from a manga series penned by Yakabo Sandorvich and illustrated by Daromeon. The manga series began serialization on Shogakukan’s Ura Sunday official website for six years (April 2012 to August 2018), with a total of twenty-seven completed Tankobon volumes. The first season was released on Netflix on July 31, 2019. The second season premiered on October 31, 2019.
Upon release, the series gained widespread success and because of its massive popularity, a sequel titled “Kengan Omega” manga series commenced in January 2019. It was later adapted into an ONA (original net animation) anime series.
What is the Show About?
The story is set two years after the events of the Kengan Annihilation Tournament, the manga introduced the viewers to new lead characters. It also showed that Ohma is still alive and for the past two years he has been residing in the Kure Village.
The two lead characters Narushima Koga and the unusual Goah Ryuki, have quite the sameness to that of Ohma but have a shady past.
Will There Be a Season 4 of Kengan Ashura?
As of now, there isn’t any information or update made yet concerning the fourth season of the anime series. Moreover, a third season has not even been released but it is expected to arrive sometime this year or in 2023. It’s also not confirmed whether Kengan Omega will get its very own anime adaptation and continue with the anime series, but based on the enormous popularity of Kengan Ashura, we’re optimistic that a fourth season will happen.
Kengan Ashura Season 4 Release Date: When is it?
It’s most likely that the third season will bring a close to Ohma’s journey and put an end to Kengan Life or Death Tournament. Nevertheless, this won’t stop the franchise from resuming the anime series with a new season with an entire new storyline taking place after the events of “Kengan Ashura”.

It started its publication on January 17, 2019, in Ura Sunday. Indeed, a sequel was announced despite that nothing has been confirmed so far.
Needless to say, if a fourth season returns the story will focus on the two new lead characters Narushima Koga and the strange Gaoh Ryuki as they get mixed up in the most dangerous underground Kengan games. Undeniably, “Kengan Omega” is going to be more bloody and gruesome than “Kengan Ashura” with many twists but the strong one always prevails or so we think.
