Knife-wielding Man caught after off-road chase near old Clinton County Airport

A man from Plattsburgh is being charged with many things after he reportedly threatened someone with a knife and led police on a chase.

Sunday, the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office was called to a store in Plattsburgh town because 37-year-old Michael Baker Jr. was said to have threatened someone with a knife.

Police say Baker drove off when they tried to talk to him.

Police followed Baker until he drove onto roads that weren’t made for cars near the old Clinton County airport.

Border guard, local and state police, and the police set up a perimeter around the property and used a drone to find Baker.

Almost 10 charges have been brought against him, including 2nd-degree threatening, burglary, and criminal possession of a weapon.

He was let go, and he will go to court later.
