CALERACandidates are still entering the Calera City Council contest as the Municipal Election, scheduled for August 26, draws near. One of the most recent is Krispin Watson.

According to Watson’s official campaign website, Krispin Watson is a proud Calera resident, mother, businesswoman, and committed community champion who is passionate about change and has a heart for service. With a degree in political science, she is currently the chair of the Birmingham Realtist Chapter of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers’ public relations committee, where she advocates for fair housing policies and Black homeownership.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, June 10, Watson formally declared her intention to run for a council seat.

Growth, opportunity, and ensuring that all Calera voices are heard are the main focuses of my campaign, Watson stated. Supporting neighborhood companies, enhancing city resources, and making sure our community prospers not only downtown but throughout Calera are all causes close to my heart.

Watson works for LeaderOne Financial as a mortgage loan officer and Norluxe Birmingham as a registered realtor. She is a published author and podcast broadcaster.

Watson’s program includes luring companies to Calera, generating employment, assisting families, and fostering community involvement. She thinks that her work experience will enable her to achieve her goals.

According to a statement on Watson’s campaign website, Krispin (Watson), a certified realtor, company owner, and public speaker, has dedicated years to helping families and entrepreneurs create better futures. She is now bringing the same passion, expertise, and vision to the Calera City Council in order to advocate for the expansion of local companies, the creation of jobs, and the resources our city requires in order to prosper. Krispin Watson, who has a strong religious foundation and a track record of service, is running because she genuinely believes in this city and feels Calera deserves better.

Watson revealed that her passion for Calera and desire to support its growth are the main reasons she is running for a council seat.

“I think this city has a lot of potential, and I love it,” Watson remarked. Helping Calera develop in a way that is inclusive, sustainable, and full of opportunities for future generations is my aim.
