Looking for new places to eat in Huntsville? Two new restaurants open

There are now additional Asian food and sub sandwich options available to Huntsville residents.

Jersey Mike’s will open on Memorial Parkway on Wednesday, while Parkway Hibachi Buffet opened at Parkway Place Mall on Saturday.

The restaurant chain’s first location in Alabama is Parkway Hibachi Buffet. Situated close to Belk on the mall’s lower floor, it serves a variety of American, Japanese, and Chinese cuisine, including fresh seafood.

Sushi, stir-fry, hibachi, and burgers are all on the menu.

According to Parkway Place Marketing Director Amanda Homelvig, patrons are greeted by a sleek, contemporary, high-end décor that is intended to create a laid-back yet fashionable setting that enhances the whole experience. It is ideal for a laid-back lunch, special event, or night out.

“The response from the community has been amazing,” she remarked. All weekend long, they kept the restaurant busy. Everyone was obviously thrilled about this new dining choice, and we’re delighted to see that enthusiasm.

It is open Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The restaurant features four distinct eating spaces and is over 9,000 square feet in size.

The grand opening fundraiser for Jersey Mike’s

On Wednesday, Jersey Mike’s Subs, which is well-known for its freshly grilled or sliced subs, will open at 9070 Memorial Parkway SW.

From Wednesday through Sunday, franchise owners Chris Daniels, Matea Cox, and Andrew Curde will host a grand opening and fundraiser in support of the Liz Hurley Breast Cancer Fund. In return for a standard sub, patrons who receive a unique fundraising coupon—which was distributed through a grassroots initiative before the opening—can donate at least $2 to the Liz Hurley Breast Cancer Fund. To be eligible, customers need to have a coupon.

Orders can be placed by customers in-store, online, or via the Jersey Mike’s app. Additionally, the Jersey Mike’s app and third-party delivery partners offer delivery in the majority of locations. Orders placed using the Jersey Mike’s app can be picked up curbside.

The Jersey In-store baked bread is topped with freshly sliced Mike’s meats and cheeses. The Jersey Mike’s visitors are able to order their sandwiches Mike’s Way, which includes lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and a mixture of olive oil and red wine vinegar. Both beef and chicken cheesesteaks are prepared on a fresh grill.

The restaurant is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The Jersey Athens and Madison are only two of the more than 4,000 existing and planned Mike’s Subs sites. In 1956, the chain was established.
