Man allegedly rams police car, flees through Yacht club before Arrest in Westchester

According to county police, a man from New York City is facing charges after reportedly starting a police chase with a stolen car throughout Westchester County.

Around 1 p.m. on Sunday, local agencies received reports of a stolen vehicle with a Massachusetts license plate on the Cross County Parkway. Officers approached the automobile and attempted a stop, but the driver, 36-year-old Antonio Trusty, sped away, sparking a chase.

The chase extended to the Hutchinson River Parkway, I-95 North, and the Playland Parkway, where Rye police stepped in.

Trusty drove off-road through Rye neighbors’ yards and the American Yacht Club, colliding with a county police car and a Connecticut resident’s vehicle.

He was captured after striking a tree and briefly attempting to flee on foot. Trusty faces accusations of criminal possession of stolen property, criminal mischief, and unlawful escape, as well as four driving summonses from Rye police for leaving the scene without reporting.
