The allegations against a father in West Virginia involve the sexual abuse of his daughter for more than a decade, which resulted in the birth of three children.
According to the documents made available by the court, Kenneth Ray Cook, a resident of Raleigh County, is accused of beginning the sexual assault of his daughter in 2012, when she was nine years old, and continuing the abuse until she was twenty-one years old.
In April, Cook, who is 44 years old, was first charged with three counts of incest, sexual assault, and child negligence, in addition to sexual abuse and sexual assault.
Approximately two months later, on June 3, he was indicted, and he is currently facing 149 total counts of incest, the most recent of which is dated July 2024, according to the records of the court. There are 152 charges against him in total.
Allegedly, his daughter was subjected to maltreatment for a decade, which resulted in the birth of three children. Officials from the law enforcement agency stated that the children were discovered to be suffering from neglect.
According to the documents filed with the court, in August, one of the children was found to be in a neglected state. 1 was the age of the child at the time.
A deputy from the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office provided testimony that was used to support the indictment that was handed down on June 3.
