Man shot in chest after Road Rage incident in Houston; Suspect arrested and victim rushed to hospital

Following a shooting along the Sam Houston Parkway in northwest Houston, one person was rushed to the hospital and another was apprehended.

The shooting occurred in the 4300 block of West Sam Houston Parkway, at the intersection with Clay Road.

Images from the site show what looks to be a damaged window at a nearby McDonald’s.

According to police on the site, one of the men was involved in a road rage incident off Interstate 10.

According to authorities, the man who was shot was driving a pickup truck and followed a blue automobile to the scene of the incident.

“The individual in the truck gets out and starts banging on the little blue car’s driver’s side window. At that time, the driver, our suspect inside the blue car, shoots two times through the window,” said Lt. Wilkens with HPD.

The man got struck in the chest and walked inside McDonald’s for assistance.

The suspect remained at the site until the cops came. He was brought into detention.

Wilkens believes the individual who was shot will survive his injuries.

Police are waiting to determine if the Harris County District Attorney’s Office would accept any charges in the case.
