Innovation, passion, and dedication are all telltale signs that someone has made the right career choice.

One such individual is Charlie Delahoz. He has guided his Miami Coral Park High School students to significant success for over thirty years.

After attending as a student, he returned to coach wrestling and eventually became the athletic department head.

Delahoz became the director of Coral Park’s engineering, architecture, and construction magnets because he wanted to exercise his mind more.

“It’s a collaboration of several teachers that make this an incredible program,” he stated.

The school’s robotics program has won multiple local, state, and national competitions while he has been in charge. This past school season, they even qualified for the world tournament.

“The impact that we have on them and what they can accomplish when they leave here is the true meaning of it,” he stated.

Many of Delahoz’s students have gone on to attend prestigious universities and hold prominent positions at Fortune 500 companies, demonstrating his enormous influence.

“We got a full ride to Duke, a full ride to Stanford, we got Georgia Tech and obviously MIT now,” he stated. “Google, Apple, Amazon.

“I have kids calling me back for career decisions at 35 and 40 years of age.”
