Military Helicopter Crash in New York Killed Three Soldiers 

New York – 21 Jan 2021 – A military helicopter crashed twenty miles ahead of Rochester and caused the death of three soldiers. The accident happened at somewhere around 6:30 PM, according to the analysis conducted by WROC. As per the verdict of the Division of Military Affairs of the New York State, the helicopter involved in the crash was medical evacuation equipment of the New York Army National Guard UH-60. Its base station is located at the Rochester International Airport and the crash happened while it was on a routine training machine.

WROC also reported that the witnesses had reported seeing to helicopter flying at a lower level of the ground. Todd Baxter, the Sheriff of Monroe County said to the reporters that when the emergency crew saw the helicopter on land caught in fire, they immediately arrived on the scene. “The emergency crew immediately went into the life-saving mode. This is an extremely heavy burden on New York. All we can do is wait for the National Guard to confirm the identity of the people on-board and conduct their martyrial. As a response to the incident, the Mayoral Electorate of New York – Andrew Cuomo- ordered to lower all the flags on state buildings to half-staff.

He said in a statement “I’m totally devasted by tonight’s news of the crash of helicopter owned by New York National Army Guard and for the three Brave soldiers on a training mission who were killed. He also added “The members of national guard are certainly our citizen-soldiers who protect and serve both abroad and here with their own consent. I extend the condolences and prayers from all New Yorkers to their loved ones, family, and fellow soldiers of these respectable heroes who we’ll never be able to forget.

In his tweet, he stated that he’ll be directing all the state buildings to lower the flags to half-staff tomorrow in tribute and honor of these New Yorkers who dedicated their life to serve the state and nation. He also shared a picture of the complete statement.
