According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the minibikes they were riding collided with an SUV in Orange County on Sunday night, killing one person and seriously injuring another.

According to troopers, the deadly collision occurred at approximately 6:27 p.m. on Orange Avenue and Nela Avenue.

A crash report states that two Coleman CT200U minibikes were approaching Nela Avenue in the inside lane while heading north on Orange Avenue.

Simultaneously, an Acura MDX was halted for traffic ahead on Orange Avenue in the northbound inside lane.

According to troopers, both cars collided into the rear of the SUV after the minibikes failed to stop for the Acura in front of them. Both drivers were flung from the minibikes in the crash.

The report claims that the driver of one minibike, a 21-year-old guy from Orlando, was brought to ORMC and declared deceased.

The FHP reports that the driver of the second minibike, a 16-year-old Orlando boy, is listed in stable condition after being transported to ORMC with critical injuries.

According to troopers, the Acura’s driver and passenger were unharmed.

Investigations into the crash are still ongoing.
