Mustang Driver From Alabama Charged After Wild DUI Chase Through Several Towns in Alabama

Massachusetts police in Dudley say that an Alabama woman is facing several charges, including driving while high on drugs, after leading them on a wild chase through several towns.

On Friday at 6:46 a.m., officers saw a Ford Mustang driving recklessly in the parking lot.

“It appeared that the Mustang would accelerate and drive towards unoccupied police cruisers and then come to an abrupt stop,” Dudley police said in a statement. “The operator of the Mustang continued to do this multiple times.”

The driver pulled away when the police officer tried to talk to them. Police say the officer turned on his blue lights, but the car drove around the parking lot in circles, with the officer in his cruiser following it. When another cop tried to stop the car, the driver drove off toward Webster through the one-way entrance to the parking lot.

The Mustang driver didn’t hit any stop signs in Webster, but they did in Douglas, which stopped the car. In a parking lot, the driver was caught.

Rebecca Roden, 65, of Hancebille, Alabama, was charged with failure to stop for police, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, operating under the influence of drugs, speeding and marked lane violations.

Roden was taken to Dudley District Court for arraignment.
