New rule on commercial vehicles in Uttar Pradesh comes into effect from today
Explain that earlier, the RTO office (RTO) had to be circled for the registration of commercial vehicles. However, for other types of certificates including fitness, one still has to visit the RTO office. With the start of this process, the common people will get a lot of convenience. During the Corona period, people will get rid of the RTO rounds. Also, vehicle registration will be completed within the stipulated time.
Now, like private trains, commercial vehicles will also be registered through the dealer.
ARTO Vishwajit Singh of Ghaziabad says, ‘A new order has been issued by the UP government. From the next September 28, the showroom from which the commercial vehicle will be purchased, from there the online papers will be sent to the RTO office. The RTO office will check the documents and issue the registration number of the vehicle. The vehicle registration number will be sent to the showroom. From there, car owners will be able to take RC paper. Till now, registration of two or four wheelers in light vehicles was being done through dealer point. However, now commercial vehicles are also being added to it. Now commercial vehicles will also be registered in the same way.

Loss of revenue
Singh says, this step has been taken to avoid overcrowding in the RTO office during the Corona period. The dealer used to sell commercial vehicles but, many people kept driving the vehicle without registering. This caused loss of revenue to the state government, but now the registration process will start at the dealer point itself and the responsibility will fall on the dealer. Under the new system, the accountability of the dealer has been fixed to register the commercial vehicles.
