In the state of New York, the distribution of SNAP benefits begins on the first of the month and continues until the ninth. This schedule for the Food Stamp program applies to all counties.
It is not, however, going to be the payment schedule for the five boroughs of New York City.
The New York City Department of Health publishes a schedule that spans six months and details the precise dates on which the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program is available.
As is the case in the other 47 states that are adjacent to one another, the maximum payment amounts are the same.
You may be eligible for a maximum of $975 from the USDA if you have a household size of four people. A single person is eligible to receive up to $292.
Up until the 30th of September in 2025, these maximum amounts will remain unchanged.
Next, following the Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) in 2026, there will be a new maximum amount that will be implemented.
SNAP payment schedule for the month of June in the state of New York
When it comes to arranging paydays, the State of New York makes use of the SNAP case number. As a result, the only thing you need to learn is the final number of your Food Stamps case number.
In most cases, this number corresponds to the day of the month that the payment is deposited onto your Electronic Benefits Transfer card.
Aside from the case numbers that end in zero, which are also paid on the first day of the month, the previous sentence is accurate.

Conversely, SNAP cannot be used to purchase any non-food items, such as alcohol, vitamins, medications, or hot meals.
You will not be able to use your EBT card to pay for these items if you add them to your shopping basket; instead, you will need to pay with cash or a credit card.
As long as they are approved, grocery stores, shops, and farmers’ markets are the locations where you can make purchases with your EBT.
