Immediately following a night of severe weather across North Texas, storm surveys are currently being conducted.
The National Weather Service reports that as of Monday, at least seven tornadoes have been confirmed to have occurred in counties that are located west of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
These tornadoes had intensities ranging from EF-0 to EF-1, with one tornado with an EF-unknown rating occurring southeast of Santo.
Tornadoes with an EF-0 rating:
- Eastland County, close to Morton Valley, has confirmed the presence of one.
- One tornado was confirmed to have occurred in Santo, which is located in Palo Pinto County. This tornado caused damage to residential roofs and ripped down several large tree limbs and parts of trees that were located north of the train tracks in Santo.
- A single confirmed case was found in Palo Pinto County, south of Santo.
- In the southwestern part of Parker County, one occurred close to the intersection of Gilbert Pit Road and Cougar Road. Along the Gilbert Pit Road, there was also a barn that was destroyed.
Tornadoes classified as EF-1:
- Palo Pinto County, Mingus, has confirmed the presence of one.
- Palo Pinto County, Gordon, has confirmed the presence of one.
As a result of the extensive damage that the storms caused on campus, Gordon Independent School District decided to cancel classes for the week.
The tornado, which was classified as an EF-1, occurred close to the city of Gordon, which is situated approximately 66 miles west of Fort Worth. The National Weather Service reported that this tornado had winds of up to 105 miles per hour.

Other storm tracks and locations are still being evaluated, according to the National Weather Service. Nevertheless, three tornadoes were captured on camera in the county of Palo Pinto.
