Five other kids were sent to the hospital Tuesday in Orange County after a young driver was killed in a horrific single-vehicle collision.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department reports that the event happened in Dana Point, close to the intersection of Island Way and Dana Point Harbour Drive, shortly before noon.
The young driver of a Dodge pickup truck apparently collided with a tree and was pronounced dead at the site, although there are little details available and it’s unclear what specifically caused the collision.
Three of the other young people were allegedly in severe condition when they were brought to the hospital, while two of them just had minor wounds.
The matter was taken on by the Major Accident Investigation Team of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
