A man and a woman were left with’serious injuries’ after reportedly racing past a stop sign in Outagamie County and colliding with a pickup truck.
According to the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of CTY TK EE and Wege Road in the Town of Center at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, for reports of a collision.
According to preliminary findings, a 72-year-old lady driving a vehicle with a 75-year-old male passenger from Freedom was traveling westbound on Wege Road when she allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign.
After missing a stop sign, the vehicle collided with a southbound pickup truck towing a trailer on CTY TK EE.
Both passengers in the westbound vehicle were transferred to a local hospital with what deputies characterized as’serious injuries.’
The pickup truck was carrying two adults and three young children from Appleton when it crashed. Deputies report that one of the children was brought to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
Deputies stated in the release that drinking was not a factor.
