Numerous shooters opened fire on Sunday night in Glendale, Arizona, resulting in the deaths of at least three individuals and injuries to five others, according to the police.
Moroni Mendez, the public information officer for the Glendale Police Department, stated the following during a news conference that took place on Sunday evening: “There are three dead people from this incident, and there’s a total of five other victims having sustained some sort of injury from either shrapnel or gunshot wounds.”
In addition, Mendez stated that it was unclear whether two competing groups were firing at each other during the shooting. The details of the shooting are scant.
“Whether they know each other, whether they’re related, whether they’re allies or opponents, we don’t know yet, and that’s what we’re trying to solve and figure out,” Mendez stated.
However, Mendez stressed that there is no continuous threat to the general public, despite the fact that there have been no arrests.
It would be impossible to obtain any information regarding the identities of the victims while the next of kin were being informed. According to the police, they intended to carry on with their investigation of the scene into the night.
Around 7:45 p.m., police stated that they had received multiple reports of a shooting that had taken place at a business located close to the intersection of 57th Drive and Lamar Road.

There were dozens of people of all ages present at the time of the shooting, according to a witness who wished to remain anonymous. The Cinco de Mayo party was being held at the restaurant El Camarón Gigante, which was making it suitable for families.
The witness stated to the station that he had just exited the restaurant when he heard more than twenty rounds ring out over the space of fifteen to twenty seconds. According to him, approximately ten additional bullets were fired after a pause of approximately thirty seconds.
According to the testimony of the witness, he administered pressure to the wounds of a woman who had been struck from multiple directions.
Furthermore, he stated that he witnessed paramedics performing “pretty heavy-duty chest compressions” on three individuals, in addition to a person who was conscious and breathing being removed from the scene using a stretcher.

According to Mendez, there was more than one person who fired fire, but there were no arrests made right away. “A significant number of individuals” were taken into custody, but the officers were attempting to ascertain whether or not they were victims, witnesses, or suspects, as he stated.
According to Mendez, there was not a single officer that fired their firearm.
It was described as a “enormous scene” by him, and it was anticipated that it would take investigators “well until the daytime hours” to clean it.
