We are still having very unstable weather. On Thursday, it went from highs in the 40s to highs in the 70s.

The Mets’ home opener goes off without a hitch after overnight rain.

That made it possible for a warm and wet night with lows in the 50s. It’s also been noticeably more humid.

Around 3 a.m. Friday, showers and thunderstorms began to move in. It rained very hard at times, mostly south of the city. On average, it will rain between.50 and 1 inch, but bigger amounts may fall in some places, mostly south of the city.

The rain should be mostly over by morning.

The Mets’ home opener in the afternoon will go off without a hitch on a partly sunny day with highs in the mid to upper 60s.

The rain is coming back for the weekend.

The break from the rain won’t last long, though.

One more round of rain is expected by early Saturday morning, and more rounds will follow through Sunday.

There will be some rain on both days of the weekend, but when it’s not raining, thick clouds will stay in place and drizzle will happen every once in a while.

It will get down into the low 50s on Saturday, and then it will get up into the upper 60s on Sunday.
