A High Court in Abuja, Nigeria has ordered the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), the National Identify Management Commission (NIMC) and some banks to release bio data of David Ukpo to Ike Ekweremadu and his wife Beatrice.
The lawyer for Ekweremadu told the judge that the politician was in exile, and Ogaga-Ogba argued that his client is not a constituent of any of the parties in opposition to his election.
Ekweremadu and his wife requested the authentication of David Ukpo’s records for their courtroom trial to defend themselves against accusations of harvesting Ukpo’s kidney.
Six organizations are defendants in the suit: the Comptroller General, Nigeria Immigration Service, Stanbic-IBTC Bank, United Bank of Africa, and Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System.
When the case against NIBSS was mentioned on Friday, Awomolo withdrew from the case and Justice Ekwo scrapped its name from the suits.
