A rollover incident involving numerous vehicles on Interstate 270 in Commerce City killed one person and injured three others. The crash happened on Tuesday evening.
The Commerce City Police Department reported that the route at Highway 85 was closed at 6:45 p.m. due to the crash. Police reported many vehicles were involved, and Denver Fire Department is at the site of the crash.
On Wednesday morning, Commerce City Police posted an update on Facebook. According to the department, three persons were hurt. One person was seriously injured. The nature of the injuries to the victims was not immediately known.
Police reported that one individual was killed during the crash. The coroner’s office will announce their identity at a later date after investigation.
“Please keep everyone involved close to your hearts this morning,” the department said on Facebook.
The Denver Fire Department and the South Adams County Fire Department both responded to the crash.
The inquiry into the crash is underway. Police have not given information on what caused the crash.
