During Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R-Ga.) town hall in Cobb County, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta, at least six demonstrators were ejected.
According to the Acworth Police Department, three people were taken into custody, two of whom needed stun guns.
“While attempting to remove the subjects from the event, officers were threatened, physically resisted, and harmed in the process. One of those arrested provided identification that placed them outside of Congresswoman Greene’s district,” Acworth Police stated in a Tuesday night release.
“It is disappointing that a very small number of people actively worked to create a temporary disruption to what was otherwise a completely peaceful event,” according to the law enforcement.
Greeen informed guests at the outset that this “is a town hall.” This is not a rally for politics. This isn’t a demonstration. We will have you removed, just like that man was thrown out, if you want to stand up and protest, if you want to yell and chant. We won’t put up with it.
“This is a good spot if you want to sit and listen to people on all sides of the aisle, whether they are Republicans, Democrats, or independents. At the town hall on Tuesday night, the Republican legislator stated, “You have a lot to learn.”
Greene defended President Trump’s tariff agenda, the Department of Government Efficiency’s (DOGE) work, which she said was focused on identifying waste and abuse in the federal government, and the revocation of federal funding for public broadcasters PBS and NPR during the nearly hour-long town hall, where she also fielded audience questions.
“Ladies and gentlemen, all of us together, no matter where we stand on the political spectrum, together, we’re in debt at $36 trillion. $36 trillion dollars is no laughing matter. This is something that should pull all of us together as Americans, because Americans have been defrauded for decades, and that’s a crime against you, the American people, that has been committed against you by our government,” Greene stated to the attendees.

“This is something that we should all fight against, and I think it’s extremely important,” the Georgia lawmaker continued.
One of the most ardent Trump supporters on Capitol Hill, Greene, maintained that the president’s tariffs would not be a tax on American consumers and that Americans would not lose their Social Security.
“And I can tell you for a fact, no one has lost their Social Security or Medicare. I have checked with these agencies then that no one has lost it. This is a fear that is being spread, and it shouldn’t be spread. Here’s what is happening. We are stopping fraud. You’re stopping waste,” Greene stated on Tuesday.
Greene stated that the tariffs are “not a massive tax on the American people” in reference to the administration’s trade policies.
“The tax on the American people that you’ve been suffering with is the inflation that Biden Democrats put on the American people from their absolute reckless spending for the past four years,” the House GOP member stated.
House Republicans were instructed not to have town hall meetings with residents in their districts at the beginning of March. However, some have done so in spite of criticism.
Additionally, Democrats have encountered irate voters who argue that liberal lawmakers are not doing enough to oppose Trump’s agenda.
Trump and Republican politicians have previously claimed that the people interfering with GOP member activities are “Radical Left Lunatics” and paid Democrats. “Let me tell you, this is funded,” Greene said on Tuesday, echoing a similar stance. There has been rioting among the Democrats. They are the violent party.

The Georgia lawmaker also condemned the recent assault on the home of Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro (D). The Shapiro family’s mansion was allegedly set on fire on Sunday by 38-year-old Cody Allen Balmer.
“And I first want to start with recognizing Governor Shapiro and his family and say that I truly pray for them,” Greene stated on Tuesday. “And it was shocking to see that attack of arson on the governor’s mansion, and I completely denounce that a political violence and I dennouce all political violance.”
“And again, I’ll just say this, we have bigger problems in America,” the Georgia Republican added. “We really do, problems that should bring us together as Americans and not divide us to the point where they’re talking about killing people.”
