Written by John Preston, “Stonehouse” is a British TV series centering on the life and moments of a renowned humiliated British minister named John Stonehouse. The series first aired from January 2 to 4, 2023. It starred Matthew Macfadyen, Keeley Hawes, Emer Heatley, Kevin McNally, and Dorothy Atkinson, and was helmed by Jon S. Baird.

With the first season wrapped, fans are now curious to know if the series will be back for a second season. To learn more about season 2 of Stonehouse, we have mentioned everything that is to know below.

What is Stonehouse About?

The series is a blend of fictional and factual inspired by the events in November 1974  how a prominent figure, John Stonehouse a British politician and the former PG (Postmaster General) with the government of Harold Wilson and Member of Parliament for Walsall North, went missing from around the beach of an elite hotel in Miami, Florida. The only thing that Stonehouse left behind was a meticulously folded mound of garments after swimming into the ocean to fabricate his own demise.

While in America, the politician decided to fake his own demise in a desperate attempt to dodge dishonoring his stature. Following spying, fraud, thievery, and scheming actions that he had been involved in, he was deported back to the United Kingdom from Australia.

Stonehouse Season 2: Is it Renewed or Canceled?

As of now, the series has not been renewed for a second season of Stonehouse. The series is loosely based on a true story about a politician named John Storehouse who faked his own death. The first season wrapped the story surrounding Storehouse and most likely this show is considered a single-season season. Hence, it is quite likely that Stonehouse would be back for a second season.

So on the off chance that renewal happens, you’d probably have to wait for some time but renewal will most likely not happen.

Stonehouse Season 2 Release Date

The first season of Stonehouse was released on January 2, 2023, and consisted of a total of three episodes. When it comes to the release date for season 2 nothing is known since it hasn’t been renewed yet. However, many reports suggested that season 2 of Stonehouse will not be produced as the story has wrapped.
