Nashville, TN – Residents are being advised to prepare for an active weather pattern heading into the weekend, with both Friday and Saturday designated as Storm Alert Weather Days.
Thursday will bring warm, hazy conditions with partly cloudy skies and a high near 87°F. However, a shift in the forecast begins Friday evening.
According to meteorologists, isolated but strong storms are expected to move through the area on Friday between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. Eastern. These storms may produce gusty winds, small hail, heavy rain, and frequent lightning.
Saturday will see even more widespread activity. A stalled front over the region will bring steady rain from morning through the afternoon, followed by another round of strong storms between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. Eastern. The combination of daytime rain and evening storms could lead to localized flooding and travel disruptions.
By Sunday, a developing low-pressure system will continue to trigger scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. However, no severe weather is currently expected for Sunday.
Residents are encouraged to stay weather-aware, monitor local forecasts, and have multiple ways to receive weather alerts over the weekend.
