Despite the fact that temperatures similar to those of summer may not be expected this weekend, residents of the Chicago area will have the opportunity to enjoy their first splashes of the season at the largest water park in the state.
Raging Waves, which is situated in the Yorkville suburbs, will be opening its doors for the very first time this season on Saturday.
The establishment will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on each day of the Memorial Day weekend.
The following week, on May 31, the park will begin its daily operations.
Raging Waves will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. until June 6, after which it will begin operating for longer hours the following day.

From the 7th to the 27th of June, Raging Waves will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and then during the final week of June, from the 28th to the 3rd of August, the park will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Following that, Raging Waves will resume its regular hours of operation from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on August 4-10, as well as on the weekends of August 16-17 and August 23-24.
The park will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. from the 11th through the 15th of August, as well as on the last two weekends of the season, which are the Labor Day weekend (August 30 to September 1) and September 6-7.

According to the Raging Waves website, the park also issuing a warning that certain attractions may be closed during operation from August 14-16.
This is due to the fact that the return of students from the surrounding area to school results in a reduction in staffing levels.
