A passenger was murdered early Friday in Orlando when the driver of an Acura MDX collided with a wall, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The deadly single-vehicle collision occurred around 4:30 a.m. on Goldenrod Road at Silver Pointe Boulevard, near Curry Ford Road in Azalea Park.
The Florida Highway Patrol reported that a 35-year-old Orlando man was driving the Acura north on Goldenrod Road when he failed to navigate a curve.
The car veered off the road, collided with a neighbourhood entry wall, and crashed, troopers reported.
The motorist was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Centre, according to the FHP.
His passenger was transferred to AdventHealth East Orlando and pronounced dead, according to officials.
Goldenrod Road’s northbound lanes are slow in the region.
