In Northwest Miami-Dade, a 70-year-old driver struck a T-Mobile store with such power that the automobile wound up in the center of the establishment.
At approximately 9:30 a.m. on Friday, the man slammed his Volkswagen Jetta into the storefront near Northwest 176th Street and 57th Avenue, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.
First responders used crime scene tape to block off the business’s entrance.
The aftermath of the collision was captured on cell phone footage. A woman can be heard in the video shouting, “Forwarded straight into the [expletive] building.”
Felix Morales heard the crash while he was working in a storeroom at the rear of the store.
“It’s crazy, man. I heard a noise, that’s what made me come over here. It’s just chaos, man. everybody is scared,” he stated.
According to investigators, the man was operating the Jetta when an incident occurred, causing the vehicle to leap the curb and crash into the shop while patrons and staff were inside.
“From what I hear, the guy even got out of the car and walked up to say he wanted to pay the phone bill,” Morales stated.

In stable condition, the man was taken to the hospital for additional care. There were no injuries to anyone who worked inside the store.
“You think you would just see a hole there. I don’t know how this worked out to be honest with you. But yeah, it’s crazy, I don’t know how he did that,” Morales stated.
The car was backed out of the structure and taken away after hours of clearing the framework and glass.
The man’s identify has not been made public by authorities. The T-Mobile store is still not open. When it will reopen is unknown as of Friday night.
