Teen driver crashes into Home, Traps woman in house under Car in Adams County

According to State Police, a driver struck a homeowner in Adams County on Saturday, trapping her below a car.

A little after 3:30 p.m., the car struck the woman’s house along Chambersburg Road (SR 30) in Franklin Township, pinning her under the vehicle on her stomach, forcing responders to utilise equipment to remove the vehicle, according to a crash report from Gettysburg’s State Police.

The driver of the 2009 Audi A4, a 16-year-old lad from Ortanna, was slightly hurt in the collision. He was wearing his seat belt when he was cited by State Police for the collision.

The teenager reportedly veered off the road and struck a utility pole while heading east. He proceeded down an embankment, struck the house’s north side, and then stopped, trapping the resident woman beneath the Audi.

She was taken to York Hospital after being released to receive treatment for her injuries, though it was unclear how severe they were.

It was necessary to have the Audi hauled out of the area.
