All About The Barrier
The Barrier is a Spanish dystopian comedy-drama TV series that debuted on Atresplayer Premium on January 19,2022. Created by Daniel Ecija, the series debuted internationally on Netflix in September 2020.
The storyline of the series centers on the year 2040, 20 years after World War III ended. Basically it is a fictional futuristic drama. It stars Unax Ugalde, Olivia Molina and Eleonora Wexler as the star cast.
The production companies behind the series are Atresmedia and Good Mood.

The Barrier Season 2: Is it Happening?
As of November 2022, not a single word has been heard from the producers concerning a second season of the series. Similarly, the first season of the Spanish drama series was released two years ago and despite the positive response from the audience, there have been no official updates about a second installment so far. Each episode had a runtime of 50 minutes. The series had a total of 13 episodes so it could be that the story was wrapped entirely and it’s highly likely that there won’t be a new season or else what could be the reason for the show makers to take such aan awful amount of time just to renew a new season?
Nonetheless, it’s unwise to make a quick decision because who knows they are a brief break or they might be working on a new story. So let’s exercise patience for now and hopefully, we get an official update sometime soon as fans are anxious to know every detail on the possible forthcoming season.

The Barrier season 2 Release Date?
The first season aired from 19 January 2020 to 12 April 2020 on Atresplayer Premium. The series contains a total of 13 episodes each of 27 minutes long. The series is yet to be finalized by the makers. So far, there has been no official announcement regarding the release date or renewal made by Netflix.
Therefore, keeping an eye on the current scenario, we can expect the show to be released in 2023.
