In May and October 2025, thousands of Alaskans will receive a $1,702 stimulus payment through the state’s Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) program, which disburses income from the state’s natural resources, mostly oil.
With $1,403.83 as part of the normal dividend plus an extra $298.17 bonus authorized by the state government as energy aid, the $1,702 payout equates to the 2024 dividend.
The 2025 PFD’s amount has not yet been confirmed, although it is anticipated to be comparable.
Only individuals who had prior applications in “Eligible-Not Paid” status before May 7, 2025, are eligible for the May deposits, which will be disbursed on May 15. Payments for applications that are eligible up until June 11 will be made on June 18.
Who is qualified for the PFD in Alaska?
Living in Alaska during 2024 with the goal of staying there permanently is a requirement for receiving the PFD 2025.
Additionally, in 2023 or 2024, you must have spent at least 72 hours in Alaska without leaving the state. Absences longer than 180 days must be explained by military duty, medical treatment, or study.
The benefit is not available to anyone who have been convicted of a felony or several misdemeanors in 2024. Even if all other conditions are satisfied, applications submitted after March 31, 2025, are likewise invalid.
Every resident, including children, was required to apply on their own using paper forms or the official website, pfd.alaska.gov.

Lastly, it is advised to avoid getting an out-of-state driver’s license with REAL ID because the PFD Division cautions that it may impact eligibility.
For thousands of Alaskan families, this benefit is a vital source of financial help, and it will continue to exist as long as the state fund is robust.
