Two Children Reported Missing from Single NYC Building in Weeks

According to the New York Police Department, two children have been reported missing from the same building on the Upper West Side of Manhattan more than a month apart.

The New York City Police Department has confirmed that Ibrahim Abdul-Halim, who is eleven years old, was last seen on June 5 at his residence in the Amsterdam Houses occupied by the New York City Housing Authority.

Andrew Ahtay, who is 16 years old and lives in the same building, was reported missing a month ago and has not been found despite repeated searches.

The last time anyone saw Ibrahim was at approximately 5:50 p.m. on Thursday.

His eyes are brown, and his hair is short and black. He stands at a height of approximately 5 feet 1 inch. It was observed that he was dressed in a grey shirt with long sleeves, grey pants with chequered patterns, and multicoloured sneakers.

On May 5, at approximately 7:10 in the morning, Andrew was last seen leaving his residence. Andrew has been described as having a medium complexion, brown eyes, and black hair. His build is described as being moderate.

According to reports from the Bronx Daily and Patch, this brings the total number of times that Andrew has been reported missing after leaving his residence into question. The missing person report was filed twice.

According to Patch, Andrew was reported missing for the first time in January of 2020, when he was ten years old. After being last seen at his residence, he was located not long after that.

The second time was in September of 2020, when Andrew was 11 years old and he also left his home for the second time ever.

The last time either Ibrahim or Andrew was seen, they were both within a few blocks of Amsterdam Houses.
