Conceived by Gaby Hull and directed by Al Campbell, “Two Weeks to Live” is a six-episode crime drama action thriller comedy mini-series that is produced by Sky UK and HBO Max that stars Maisie Williams, Sian Clifford, Mawaan Rizwan, Taheen Modak, Jason Flemyng, Michael Begley, Thalissa Teixeira, Kerry Howard, Sean Knopp, Sean Pertwee, and Pooky Quesnel. The series premiered in September 2020.

The series follows Kim Noakes (Maisie Williams) an oddball, who has been brought up in almost complete seclusion “living off-the-grid” in countrified Scotland for almost her entire life by her over-possessive prepper mother, Tina (Sian Clifford).

It’s been two years since the debut season was released and it’s no wonder why fans are anxious to find out whether the thriller series will be back with another season. So without any further ado, here’s what I was about in season 2 of Two Weeks to Live.

Two Weeks to Live Season 2 Renewal Status

As of October 2022, there has been no official announcement from the showmakers concerning a second season of Two Weeks to Live.

Conversing exclusively to Digital Spy about the show the Game of Thrones star Masie Willimas who plays the series protagonist had a barely jesty answer when inquired if a second installment could be in development, hesitating to say a conclusive yes or no to additional episodes being brought in.

“Que sera sera,” the actress responded. “No, they’ve yet to email me about the second series, so we’ll see if people watch it.”

Deeming that we supposed the program was “riotous fun, with a ton of heart and soul to boot”, we definitely wouldn’t say no to another season. Needless to say, we’re hopeful that a second season will be announced soon.

Two Weeks to Live Season 2 Release Date

The first season was released on September 2, 2022, and ended on October 7, 2022. As of now, an official release date has not been scheduled as the network has yet to bestow the green signal for season two of Two Weeks to Live.

However, if renewed, fans can expect to see the new episodes sometime in 2023 or in 2024 at the earliest.

The Cast of Two Weeks to Live Season 2

The main characters who appeared in the first season are all expected to return including some of the supporting characters. This include:

  • Maisie Williams in the role of Kim Noakes

  • Sian Clifford will portray Tina Noakes

  • Mawaan Rizwan plays the part of Nicky

  • Taheen Modak portrays the role of Jay

  • Jason Flemyng will be seen as DI Alan Brooks

  • Michael Begley will play Ian

  • Thalissa Teixeira will be back as Thompson

  • Kerry Howard in the character of Beth

  • Sean Knopp will play Kim’s dad

  • Sean Pertwee in the role of Jimmy

  • Pooky Quesnel in the part of Mandy

Two Weeks to Live Season 2: What to Expect?

The exact plot details for the next season are not revealed but given the nature of the first season’s finale which ended on a cliffhanger, it sets a possibility for a new season perfectly, with a big disclosure at the final moments of the season one’s finale. So it is safe to assume that there’s plenty of material for the story to continue.

According to Williams, the series chronicles “a girl called Kim who has been living in confinement (a cabin in the middle of nowhere) for 16 years of her life”, with the program unfurling with her “stepping out into the real world for the first time”.
