There won’t be any respite moving into the evening following yet another Thursday that was above normal. Because of the additional cloud cover that will come in, temperatures will only gradually drop into the lower 70s by the time we enter the late hours.
A strong and consistent southerly breeze is still bringing in moisture from the Gulf, which is why we are still seeing humid conditions. Before sundown, winds may reach gusts of up to 30 mph.
The likelihood of rain increases to between 30 and 60 percent as Easter weekend approaches, with sporadic showers and a few thunderstorms probable.
Although there might be a few isolated showers on Saturday, Sunday is predicted to see more sporadic rain. Perhaps prepare for indoor egg hunts on Easter Sunday or keep an umbrella close at hand. Although we don’t anticipate a washout, it could be wise to have some indoor backup plans.
The metro’s northeast is still at risk for severe weather on Sunday.
Over the next ten days, as many systems go through, there is a risk of rain every day, which also means that temperatures will be more seasonable.
