Kansas City’s public water utility, WaterOne, won the Best of the Best Taste Test and the People’s Choice Taste Test. This shows their accessibility and appeal.
The event, sponsored by Brown and Caldwell, was made up of regional winners from water tasting competitions nationwide.
The city of Sitka, Alaska and the City of Sioux Falls in South Dakota both came in second and third place respectively.

WaterOne is an independent water company that services the Johnson County area. They draw water from dual sources on the Kansas and Missouri Rivers and create alkaline water using ozone treatment and membrane filtration.
