Police think that a lady and her 7-year-old boy were murdered in a double murder-suicide by their father and spouse.
According to a news release posted on Facebook by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), on Saturday, June 7, authorities arrived at an apartment complex in Katy, Texas, where they discovered a man injured and a wife and kid dead from gunshot wounds.
According to authorities, the individual was taken to a nearby hospital and declared dead upon arrival.
The HSCO reports that the deceased woman was 43 years old, and her spouse was 42. Authorities were informed by a family member that the individual “had been depressed lately due to unemployment and other issues.”
Ed Gonzalez, the Harris County sheriff, stated at a press conference that the little child was discovered “deceased in bed.”
“Homicide investigators, detectives and CSI units are on scene processing,” Sheriff Gonzalez continued.
“Lately, the adult male had apparently been without a job and going through some other issues and had possibly sought some treatment recently,” he added. “But today, we don’t know what transpired that led him to take this type of action.”

A 19-year-old woman, thought to be the daughter of the slain couple, was in her bedroom at the time of the shooting, along with her boyfriend, who was staying overnight.
According to the outlet, they were unharmed in the shooting.
