A woman, known as the “Candyman,” is accused of concealing her disguised product in her intimate areas when the Martin County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) arrived.

Brightly dyed fentanyl concealed in small folds like candy wrappers made its way into Martin County, prompting the sheriff’s office to launch a long-term narcotics trafficking investigation known as “Operation Tooth Fairy.”

The sheriff’s office claimed 41-year-old Julianne C. Perez, popularly known as the “Candyman,” and 28-year-old Dillon James Clark were part of a large narcotics trafficking network.

Detectives learnt that Perez had a consistent customer base, with people often seen waiting outside her home for drugs. To avoid detection while executing a search warrant, Perez sought to conceal narcotics in her intimate parts. Despite her efforts, significant amounts of narcotics were seized, and Perez admitted to her drug trafficking activities.

During the investigation, authorities confiscated and removed the following drugs from the streets:

  • 278.6 grams of fentanyl
  • 83.2 grams of cocaine
  • 136.4 grams of methamphetamines
  • 42 oxycodone pills

According to detectives, Perez and Clark were major dealers of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamines, and other illegal substances around the Treasure Coast. Perez supposedly got her moniker because she was known for disguising fentanyl as sweets in a wrapper.

According to the sheriff’s office, Perez admitted to knowing her products were lethal and that they were potent enough to kill. Lab tests revealed that the medications contained xylazine and para-fluorofentanyl, which are much more dangerous than fentanyl itself.

Perez was booked into the Martin County Jail after medical clearance.
