One person died in a fatal wrong-way crash on I-15 north of Las Vegas.
According to the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol, the incident occurred in the southbound lanes of I-15 near mile marker 79.
According to police, the incident occurred around 1:42 a.m. on Monday, April 14, involving two vehicles: a minivan and a semi tractor trailer.
According to authorities, the minivan was driving the wrong way on I-15, heading north in the southbound lanes.
On the site, medical workers pronounced one person deceased. The driver of the semi tractor-trailer was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
I-15 and mile marker 79 southbound are currently closed due to a fire and rescue on the site.
The collision occurred around 25 miles north of the Las Vegas Speedway.
