28-year-old killed in Late-night Motorcycle crash near Eureka UHP

A man died in a motorbike crash southwest of Eureka, Juab County, late Sunday.

The accident occurred at 10:17 p.m. on state Route 36, approximately three miles northwest of the highway’s intersection with U.S. 6. According to a Utah Highway Patrol statement, the motorcycle was northbound and failed to navigate a bend, causing him to run off the road and collide with a delineator post.

UHP reported that the driver, a 28-year-old man, died as a result of his injuries. His identification had not been released as of Monday afternoon.

State troopers are investigating the incident, but according to UHP, the rider appeared to be driving “at a higher rate of speed.”
