The American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), which is the biggest neurosurgical association in the world, is pleased to announce that it will be returning to the city that is considered to be the birthplace of neurosurgery, Boston, for the 2025 Annual Scientific Meeting of the AANS.
The meeting will take place at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center from April 25th to April 28th.
“Power of One, Impact of Many” is the subject that will be embraced during this year’s meeting. This theme is intended to highlight the significant role that each neurosurgeon plays in defining the field, while also honoring the power and creativity that are produced by global collaboration.
“The theme underscores how a single person can create a ripple effect that transforms lives, enhances outcomes and advances our entire field,” Jacques J. Morcos, MD, FAANS, AANS president stated. “The collective impact of our specialty lies in the dedication and actions of each of us — each procedure, each innovation and each interaction have the power to make a lasting difference.”
In addition to showcasing scientific abstract submissions that broke records, this year’s meeting represents a historic milestone that highlights the event’s ongoing expansion and importance on a global scale.
The American Association of Neurosurgical Societies (AANS) will further solidify its status as a leading global hub for neurosurgical advancement and collaboration by hosting more than 400 international guests and more than one hundred international speakers at the 2025 Annual Meeting.
“Returning to Boston — where modern neurosurgery was born — adds a special resonance to this year’s meeting,” Dr. Morcos stated. “The city’s rich medical legacy is the perfect backdrop for four days of cutting-edge science, innovation and global connection.”
