BOISE: A man who is suspected of crashing into a Boise Police Department car and causing officers to pursue him at high speed through Ada County early on Friday morning is being sought by the Ada County Sheriff’s Office.

According to a Sheriff’s Office Instagram post, at approximately three in the morning, Boise police officers responded to a report for a “problem subject.”

Around 4 a.m., Erik Enriques, who is wanted on a felony probation violation warrant, was found in Boise on the 600 block of Pearl Street. According to police, Enriques fled after smashing the police car with another vehicle, and a chase followed.

Boise, Meridian, and Kuna police, together with Ada County sheriff’s deputies, made many attempts to halt Enriques. After Enriques entered Kuna, the pursuit was taken up by the Sheriff’s Office. A Facebook post states, “The suspect abandoned his vehicle in the area of Kay Ave. and Ardell Rd. after driving recklessly and at a high rate of speed through closed roads and construction zones.”
