On Monday morning, a teen from Milford died in a car accident in Northbridge.
On Quaker Street, there was a crash involving only one car. Northbridge police chief Tim Laabie reported that when officers arrived, they found the car, a 2010 Honda Civic, going down a slope with the driver stuck inside.
Maverick Westcott, 18, of Milford was finally able to be pulled out of the badly damaged Civic, but he was declared dead at the scene.
According to the first investigation, the Civic was going south on Quaker Street at a very high speed when it lost control, went off the road, flipped over the guard rail, and hit a tree, which crushed the roof.
The Northbridge police are getting help with their investigation from the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit, which is attached to the office of the Worcester County District Attorney.
