The two victims who died in a multi-car accident in west suburban La Grange on Friday afternoon have been identified.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office said on Sunday afternoon that Brett Lane, 51, and Melissa Ann Lane, 49, both of Hinsdale, died in the crash.
According to La Grange police, the incident happened around 1:50 p.m. on Friday near 47th Street and Willow Springs Road.
When officers got on the scene, they discovered seven cars involved in the crash. First responders from multiple agencies assisted drivers and passengers on the scene.
According to police, several additional victims were hospitalised in addition to the two who died.
The hospitalised victims’ conditions were not immediately known.
