A man and woman are facing charges after deputies in Franklin County, Georgia, discovered $170,000 in meth stashed in tumblers during a traffic stop turned pursuit.
Around 10:14 p.m. Saturday, deputies from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office attempted a traffic stop near Owens Drive and Georgia 17. The motorist, eventually identified as Jonathan Andrew Goble, tried to leave.
Deputies used the PIT maneuver to halt the fleeing vehicle, and Goble was taken into custody.
Lacresha Glover, a passenger, was stopped and later arrested after a check of the vehicle turned up two huge tumblers holding roughly five pounds of methamphetamine with a street value of $170,000.
Goble, of Richmond, Kentucky, is accused with the following:
- D.U.I.
- Trafficking methamphetamine
- Window tint violation
- Possession of drug-related objects
- Felony fleeing and attempting to elude
Glover, from Elkhorn City, Kentucky, faces felony charges for running and attempting to evade.
- Trafficking methamphetamine
- Possession of drug related objects
Goble and Glover were detained and brought to the Franklin County Detention Center.
