368 pounds of methamphetamine were recovered and two persons were arrested after a meth factory bust in Hanford
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office and numerous task teams conducted a joint narcotics investigation that resulted in the seizure.
The operation included the execution of search warrants at a covert methamphetamine conversion facility in the 8700 block of Jersey Avenue.
Authorities, including the Kern County High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force, Tulare County Sheriff’s Office, and Kings County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Task Force, raided residential farmhouses in the 3600 block of Road 36 in Tulare and the 8700 block of Jersey Avenue in Hanford.
The California Highway Patrol’s Central K-9 team aided with the execution of the search warrants.
Casimiro Baringas-Echavaria, 40, and Fernando Sanchez-Zamora, 30, both of Sinaloa, Mexico, were arrested at the lab.
Kings County Environmental Health and Code Compliance also took part in the inquiry, which focused on the dangerous chemicals found at the location.
Baringas-Echavaria and Sanchez-Zamora were booked into the Kings County Sheriff’s Office jail on accusations of making a controlled substance, possessing a controlled substance with the intent to sell, keeping a residence for drug sales, and conspiracy to conduct a crime.
