There will be a few rain showers in the late afternoon and evening, and the coverage will grow later tonight and into early Monday morning. Overnight, there will likely be a few wet snow showers and some sleet mixed with the rain, but it won’t be much because the ground is still warm.
In the north, you can expect a layer that will melt quickly on Monday morning.
There is a flood warning in place for the Mon Wharf until late Monday night. The Ohio River could cause some minor flooding there.
Monday will mostly have cloudy skies, but they will start to clear up in the afternoon and evening. Monday night, a strong cold front will bring powerful winds. Tuesday, lows will be in the 20s and highs will only be in the upper 30s. Also, there will be more rain and snow showers, with a coating to a light buildup north of I-80. This snow will melt, mostly on grassy areas.
Temperatures will be below average through Wednesday, but there will be some nice sunshine in the middle of the week. By the end of the week, there will be a slight warming trend, and another system will bring more rain starting Thursday and lasting until early Saturday.
