The Italian restaurant owned by Bugatti has garnered a devoted customer base over the course of its existence.
It was founded by a former newspaper magnate who is now considered to be one of the wealthiest persons in Oregon.
The company’s final location, which had been in operation for more than twenty years, has finally shut down its operations.
Following a period of 23 years, Bugatti’s Oregon City officially shut down on Sunday.
According to the website, the closure of the restaurant chain marked the end of its final location in the state. The website stated that the chain was a “local Italian chain owned by one of Oregon’s wealthiest people.”
In a post on Facebook on June 5, the restaurant made the announcement that it will be closing.
To the most cherished members of our community in Oregon City: With heavy hearts, we must inform you that Bugatti’s will be closing its doors. It will be the final day on August 6, 2025.
“The reasons and struggles are many. We will be focusing on a busy last week and taking care of staff as best we can. We truly appreciate your patronage and support over the many years and consider our tenure a triumph. Thank you, Oregon City!!”
“What a glorious send off for Bugatti’s,” the restaurant wrote on Facebook on June 8th, which was the day of the event. We were able to say our goodbyes to each other, and this was made possible by the fact that all of our visitors showed up in large numbers. Our lovely team did their hardest. What a remarkable group of people. It would be a blessing for any business to have such a talented group of individuals on staff. Sending plenty of love our way.”

The other site of the restaurant business, which was the first one, was shut down in the year 2024.
Pamplin was considered “better known for his ownership of Ross Island Sand & Gravel and for Pamplin Communications, which until earlier this year owned the Portland Tribune and 24 other Oregon newspapers.”
The restaurant’s Facebook page was where patrons expressed their sorrow over the situation.
“Going to miss you so much Bugatti’s you’ve been my family’s special go-to restaurant my entire life. Thank you for so many amazing memories,” one stated.
“This feels like waking up to family member passed away. Will definitely miss Bugatti’s,” another person said.
