Shots fired after Chase near Crookston; Driver rushed to Hospital

After a police chase in northern Minnesota on Monday, shots were fired at a driver. The driver is expected to be okay.

There was a police chase just south of Crookston, Minn., and the Polk County Sheriff’s Office says an officer shot someone.

They say shots were fired on County Road 9 just after 10 a.m., near where it meets 350th Avenue SW in Russia Township. Seven miles south of Crookston is where the two roads meet.

The driver was taken to the hospital.

What led to the chase or the shots being fired were not described by the deputies.

The driver was taken to Grand Forks’ Altru Hospital with injuries that, according to officers, were not life-threatening.
