With cloudy skies, cool temperatures in the 40s, and the possibility of intermittent showers throughout the day, Thursday is a bleak start for the Washington, D.C., area.
According to Taylor Grenda of FOX 5, temperatures will stay below seasonal averages, but highs are predicted to reach the upper 50s. The showers can last into the night.
On Friday, a low pressure system will move over the region, bringing with it a spell of rainy conditions for the majority of the day. “We could see periods of heavy rain continue to unfold throughout most of Friday afternoon,” Grenda stated. “And unfortunately, it looks like it does stick around for part of the weekend too.”
With chilly showers that last into Saturday morning and possibly into the night, the rainy weather is predicted to continue over the weekend. On Sunday, it will taper off before drying out to begin the workweek.
