St. Louis couple accused of firing shots after 14-mile chase in a Road Rage incident Arrested

A couple trailed a driver for about 14 miles through St. Louis County before confronting him in a parking lot over a traffic dispute and shooting rounds at his vehicle, according to authorities.

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Torrence Triplett, 26, and Miracle Amerson, 24, on Monday in connection with the investigation. Both face felony accusations for armed criminal activity and unauthorized use of a weapon.

Triplett and Amerson are accused of firing shots during an apparent road rage incident on March 30.

According to court documents acquired by FOX 2, the victim was driving on Interstate 64 near I-270 when he reportedly cut off Triplett and Amerson.

The duo then reportedly followed the victim along I-270 to a Walgreens parking lot at 7398 North Lindbergh Boulevard in Hazelwood.

Following that, the pair briefly confronted the victim in the parking lot, and the victim sought to flee the situation, fearful for his safety. According to court filings, Triplett then reportedly fired several bullets at and into the victim’s vehicle.

Following the shooting, police executed a search warrant and found one firearm in the suspects’ vehicle, as well as another weapon and a baggie containing “multi-colored tablets and [a] white powdery substance” at the suspects’ residence.

According to court filings, Amerson informed officers that she brandished a firearm at the victim and that her partner, Triplett, fired into the victim’s vehicle.

According to online Missouri court records, Triplett and Amerson have preliminary hearings in this matter planned for May 7.
