After first providing a preliminary breath test that was more than five times the legal limit, an 18-year-old from southern Wisconsin was detained for operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol twice within the span of an hour.
At approximately 9:30 p.m. on May 5, the 18-year-old is originally pulled over by officers from the Shorewood Hills Police Department. According to the officers, the individual is from Madison.
It was alleged that the officer picked up on indicators of impairment while conducting the traffic stop. After the results of her preliminary breath test (PBT) came back at.41, which is more than five times the legal limit, she was taken into custody for operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
At 10:21 p.m., she was reportedly processed and then released to a “responsible party,” according to the officers.
A short time later, at approximately 10:36 p.m., the same police observed the same car traveling at “high speeds” while exhibiting “poor lane control.” Following a traffic stop, it was discovered that the same 18-year-old was behind the wheel.
Once again, she was unable to pass field sobriety tests, and a post-brainwash test revealed that she had a.32. She was brought into custody once more for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, but this time she was placed on a 12-hour hold at the Dane County Jail.
However, there was no additional information offered.
