Trump Doubles His Own Fundraising Record with Massive $239M Inauguration Haul

According to federal documents, Donald Trump raised an unprecedented $239 million for his second inauguration, as some of the most influential US CEOs tried to win over the incoming president.

The majority of the biggest US corporations, especially those in the technology industry, donated, according to the records, which were made public on Sunday.

Along with Nvidia, Google, Meta, Broadcom, Perplexity AI, C3.AI, Micron, Qualcomm, and Intuit, Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, and Apple CEO Tim Cook each contributed $1 million.

Robinhood, a retail trading platform, donated $2 million, and Coinbase and Solana, two cryptocurrency firms, each contributed $1 million. Microsoft and IBM contributed $750,000.

Trump’s inauguration was attended by a number of America’s top billionaires and CEOs, including Jeff Bezos of Amazon, Sundar Pichai of Google, Mark Zuckerberg of Meta, and Cook.

Major American sectors were represented in the fundraising total, which was more than twice as much as the $107 million Trump raised in 2017.

Telecommunications firms AT&T, Comcast, and Verizon also contributed $1 million to the committee, as did financial behemoths JPMorgan Chase, BlackRock, Blackstone, and Goldman Sachs.

Automakers Stellantis, Hyundai, General Motors, and Toyota each contributed $1 million, as did energy companies ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil, and Occidental Petroleum; pharmaceutical companies Merck and Pfizer; and United Airlines and Delta Air Lines. Chevron contributed $2 million.

Less well-known businesses including Bank OZK and Breeze Smoke joined US giants McDonald’s, FedEx, Target, and Boeing in contributing $1 million or more.

Trump also received millions from America’s rich elite, including $1 million from Republican megadonors Marlene Ricketts, wife of TD Ameritrade founder Joe Ricketts, and Miriam Adelson, widow of the late casino tycoon Sheldon Adelson. He donated $100,000.

Ken Griffin of Citadel, Paul Singer of Elliott Management, Ron Lauder, the heir to Estée Lauder, Ken Howery, a former PayPal executive and former Trump ambassador to Sweden, and Keith Rabois also contributed $1 million.

The president’s choice to head NASA, Jared Isaacman, gave $2 million. Linda McMahon, a former wrestling promoter and education secretary, gave $1 million.

In honor of the 47th president of the United States, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent contributed $250,000, while Cantor Fitzgerald, the secretary of commerce under Howard Lutnick, contributed $1,047,000.

Warren Stephens donated $4 million to Trump’s committee, Melissa Argyros donated $2 million, Tilman Fertitta and Dan Newlin donated $1 million, and Nicole McGraw donated $250,000. These individuals were the president’s choice to serve as the US ambassador to the UK, Latvia, Italy, Colombia, and Croatia, respectively.

With a $5 million donation, Pilgrim’s Pride Corp, a significant chicken producer, gave more than any other organization.
